The region is divided into two
different parts lower and upper, the area has been open
to travelers so they can observe its natural beauty and
landscapes for a long time. This is one of the most
remote places in West Nepal. Trekking around the lower
Dolpo region is quite peaceful and full of interesting
sights, you can observe abundant of wildlife – blue
sheep, muskdeer, snow leopards and sub alpine
vegetation. Along the journey you’ll have a unique
cultural experience with stunning mountain views of
Dhaulagiri range, Kanjiroba, Gurja Himal and many
different peaks of far western Himalayas. The main
attraction is walking around and camping near by
beautiful Shey Phoksundo Lake, which is in a complete
wilderness setting. |
